Partners in Positive Change
Jake Collective collaborates with leading researchers to create actionable change and expand our understanding of ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence.
01 STRENGTHENING SUPPORT
We’re building better support tools for parents and educators to safeguard the wellbeing of neurodivergent students from K-12 and beyond.
Improving Support for Neurodivergent Students from Kindergarten through College and Beyond
We have launched a partnership with JED to design a roadmap of best practices that schools can adopt to better support neurodivergent students, from kindergarten through college and beyond.
Providing Crucial Insights for Parents and Caregivers of Neurodivergent Children—and Their Teachers
In concert with Dr. J. Stuart Ablon, founder/director of the Think:Kids program at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry, we are developing an expansive course for parents and educators of neurodivergent children, with a focus on collaborative problem solving.
Advancing Equity in Student Mental Health Support
Jake Collective is funding the design and implementation of mental health initiatives at Harlem Children Zone’s charter school, and in its after-school programs.
02 ADVANCING RESEARCH
With the world’s leading university labs, we’re pioneering new studies of ADHD brain function, with an eye toward more targeted treatment and interventions.
Detecting the Early Warning Signs of Suicidal Behavior in Neurodivergent Youth
With Dr. Matthew K. Nock, professor of psychology and epidemiology at Harvard University, and director of Nock Lab, we are pursuing a three-year study of suicide risk assessment in teenagers and adolescents, including neurodivergent youth.
In partnership with Dr. Conor Liston, lab director at Weill Cornell Medicine, and one of the world’s leading neuropsychiatric researchers, we are advancing an initiative that will chart the neural pathways and interactions that underlie ADHD.
Charting a Roadmap for Neurodivergent Brain Activity
Exploring the Self-Protective Impact of a Greater Sense of Purpose
With Dr. Anthony Burrow, director of the Purpose Science and Innovation Exchange at Cornell Human Ecology, we will assess the role a strong sense of purpose plays as a protective factor, and as an ensurer of essential wellbeing for neurodivergent young people and their neurotypical peers.
Building Better Interventions for Neurodivergent Lives at Risk
With the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) we have launched a multi-disciplinary research initiative to more effectively diagnose and treat neurodivergent young people at risk of serious self-harm and suicide.
03 INVESTING IN TRANSFORMATION
We infuse capital into mental healthcare companies to expand the reach of innovative therapies that can potentially save lives.
With catalytic funding from Jake Collective LLC, Ampa, a Palo Alto-based neurotechnology company, is expanding the reach of its innovative Ampa One Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) system, which removes longstanding time and cost barriers to this powerful non-invasive treatment for depression, a common co-occurring condition for people with ADHD, AuDHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
